Woman shot, killed after threatening census worker

Glenn Beck questions Congressman Michelle Bachmann about the ramifications of refusing to fill out the 2010 census.

A man recounts how he was shouted at for taking video of a census worker as he put in GPS coordinates of homes in his area.

According to a representative to the U.S. Census, a census worker went to the door of Craig Patterson, a resident of Yuba City, California. The time was 7:45 pm, 25 minutes before census workers are told to discontinue home visits. According to the worker, at this time a woman brandished a firearm to her while asking the man questions, and she immediately left.

The census worker immediately called her supervisor, who contacted the Police.

At 9:04 pm the Police arrived at the home, and were greeted by a male suspect with a handgun. They took him into custody, but then encountered 67 yo Victoria Helen Roger-Vasselin, pointing a shotgun at the officers. After refusing to put the shotgun down, the officers fired, killing the woman on the spot via multiple gunshot wounds.

The first thing you might say about this incident is, “So it’s come to this”. Many do not trust the 2010 census, due to some of the invasive questions on the forms. While this is true, and for some reason census workers have been mapping homes via GPS, it should also be noted that we cannot break the law in opposition to the Government’s intrusive policies.

Brandishing a gun without a reason is a crime. The days of a shotgun wielding guy sitting on his porch saying, “Get off my property!!” and then shooting off a few warning shots are over.

Under the U.S. Constitution, we are only compelled to be counted. There is no rule that allows invasive questions, and I think at some point the current census will be challenged at some level. The Obama Administration, as it seems always to do, appears to feel the need to expand Govt power at all levels. The charges against the Bush Administration, mostly overblown, are real under Obama.

Hopefully we can avoid a looming Police state by a budding Socialist Govt, but we can do this by ejecting all Politicians who support the President’s policies. But, we must maintain the law.

MMA Legend Don Frye not a big Obama Fan

April 29, 2010 1 comment

Youtube clip: Don Frye versus Takayama (One of Frye’s most famous battles)

He was in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) before it was big. He also became a huge fan favorite in Japan under the Pride Fighting Championships. Basically, if you know the legendary toughness attributed to Chuck Norris, then you probably should know Don Frye. With a voice that sounds like dry granite, and a mustache any Cowboy would respect.

Don Frye is a “Man’s man”. And he fears no man, either.

In the above interview, Don is his interesting self as usual, talking about fighting (still), gawking at the girls, and expressing his very American (Conservative) political views.

In an interview by Ariel Helwani, Helwani asks Frye about “Competition” between MMA organizations:

AH: “Do you think it’s good for the sport to have number two competition? Someone threatening the UFC? (Ultimate Fighting Championship)

DF: “Oh hell yeah, competition is what made the USA great…”

Don then goes on to talk about the root of the problem as he see it in America right now:

“We’re a great nation, as long as we don’t go Socialist.”

Helwani doesn’t know what to make of this discussion, but Frye continues, making it pretty clear when the problem started. It was right about the time of the Bailouts under President George Bush, and then Barack Obama was elected and all bets were off.

“We need to stay the course, the way we were several years ago. Now we’re kinda veering off in the wrong direction…Capitalism is what makes the country great.”

Frye, a true character, also seems to know his History, and it is evident in this quote:

“I don’t want to see anything go socialist…it’s a proven failure.”

More a living legend at this point than a man, Don Frye may just live forever.

Buy a truck, get an AK-47

April 22, 2010 1 comment

Another CNN reporter “owned” by a Conservative business man.

It is pretty hilarious how the reporter seems to ponder why anyone would need an AK 47. That is not the point, people have the right to own one if they wish. Further, if an advertisement for an auto dealership offends your sensibilities, then don’t buy a car from them.

This video really defines the Liberal mentality well, and reflects it upon what the average American believes. Basically, to the CNN reporter, there are a few “truths” which she feels are basic, but are actually Liberal baloney of the highest order:

AK 47s, being an “ugly gun” are not needed in our society.

The AK 47 is probably the most popular gun in the world. It is highly reliable, and can work with little lubrication, in the sand and mud, ect. It is also an effective deer rifle. The Maxmotors representative makes a great point about how 2 people and their foster children were attacked and killed with firearms that were likely illegal, as they may have been fully automatic. AK 47s sold in the US are not fully automatic. I am not saying that an AK would be my first choice for home defense, but it certainly would work as one.

The use of “God” in an advertisement.

I wonder if this woman actually thinks that any reference to God, be it Jesus, Buddha, Allah, ect. is illegal to use or in some way offensive. Again, if the people that buy trucks and cars object to this, they will not buy from Maxmotors. But it seems to be working for them.

The use of “American” in an advertisement.

Yep, we have gotten to the point in Obama’s America…oops, I mean in Obama’s “equal world entity” where the use of the word “America” is not longer politically correct. You can see who these CNN people voted for, and at the same time they think we are stupid enough not to notice.

Personally, I could care less if someone used “satan” in an ad for a blender. I just wouldn’t buy that product if it offended me. To the Left, words that they disagree with need to be banned, and the mere mention of a gun eradicated from society.

Ben Franklin: “A Republic, if you can keep it”

This video does an incredible job of explaining how our Government should work, and the dangers of mob rule, anarchy, and Oligarchy/Dictatorship.

It is interesting how the Left has conveniently called Fascism a movement of the Right, when the German Socialist Party was a party of Government control. This video clears this up well, explaining that Government power/control has extremes, with the American/early Roman “Republic” in the middle, granting little power to Government, and extensive power to the individual.

What we are seeing right now in our Country is an attempt to destroy the Republic. If that occurs, the Left wins. Even if there were a point of Anarchy, those on the Left feel that they will assume total power at some point. This can only occur if we dash the basis of Constitutional limits on Government power.

This is why it is so important to repeal Obamacare, as it extends Federal power to a point where it is greater than that of the States, imposing a “right” to control what people purchase. If you think that this would be the end of attempts to assume control over the electorate, guess again. It is simply a “shot across the bow” or a “Trial balloon”.

Suppose that a future Federal Government decides to make you buy solar panels, or an electric car, or says that when you “buy” energy they have the right to “monitor” your thermostat? Nothing is impossible if the Government extends it’s rights to force you to purchase what they deem as correct. Personal choice? It will be a thing of the past.

Why I am a Conservative

I couldn’t say it better myself. When I first watched this video, I found myself almost verbally saying out loud, “You’re right!” but of course I retrained myself. I wish that this man used his full name, but we do know his first name is “Jamal”. He should seriously run for office in my opinion, and I urge him to do so.

It constantly amazes me how Liberals/Progressives try to define Conservatives and Tea Party members as being uninformed. We are not uninformed. Just talk to any Conservative and ask them their opinion on any issue. They will give you a well thought out argument for their beliefs.

I think the reason for this is that we know the basis for greatness. Ronald Reagan knew this all too well, he knew that it was the greatness of the people that made America what it is. When he called the United States, “The Shining City on the Hill” it was not mere rhetoric. Jamal does not say it, but it sounds like he would define himself as a Reagan Conservative.

What worries the Democratic Party is that there are more people out there like Jamal than they dare recognize. They cannot understand why we do not willingly accept the yoke of Government. It is their own denial that forces them to demonize the American people. They cannot believe that so many disagree with their heavy-handed tactics, as their tiny inner circles are so completely opposite from us in Philosophy.

What do you do when the “Great Awakening” occurs among the American people? Perhaps you try to define them as radical or label them as racist, homophobic, sexist, or just plain dumb. It is their last hope of shaming some into voting for their legislative slavery. Will it work? I wouldn’t bet on it–but it is the only bet they have left.

It is Conservatives like Jamal that inspire others via their deep belief in the American “brand” of free and open Capitalism, Liberty, and Constitutional adherance that is truly revolutionary. Is it “progressing” to force failed Marxist principals upon the last and greatest Republic? When considered logically, can there be any other way of thinking but Conservatism? It not a “feeling” like Liberalism, it is based on tried and true principals. While some may disagree, and we welcome their debate, they truly have little chance of winning beyond forcing their beliefs upon us.

Apathy and the Death of Nations

I have said before, “It is not war that destroys great Nations, it is Apathy”. Apathy comes in many forms, the fear of battle, either physical or mental, the decadence of comfort over greatness, the soft weakness of mind and limb brought on by increased feminization of society.

It is just like age robbing one of the ability to stave off disease or physical infermity. The body eventually gives up.

When a nation gets sick, it does so via political ill. Uncontrolled borders and the influx of foreign people, the seizing of Political power by a Liberal elite, the uncaring “Me too” attitude of the people as they simply choose life over Liberty. Such is the sickness that invades the soul, to rob the people of the fire in their hearts and minds.

This is the plan of the far Left. Give to the apathetic and lazy, demoralize the strong and productive, and steal their lives via an accumulation of Government power.

A friend of mine recently went to a local gunshop to see if they could put up a sign for our local Tea Party. Ordinarily, most would simply ask, leave the sign and head out the door. My friend was inciteful enough to take it one step further and ask a few questions. What he found out was shocking. He asked the employees and some of the customers questions about the Tea Party, and nobody really knew what it was. One employee had barely heard about it, as evidenced by his remark, “I heard a little about it, but the name seems kinda lame.” The person at the counter, who claimed to be a “History major” did not understand the connection between the “Boston Tea Party” and the “Tea Party movement”. Some History major. A customer seemed only slightly more aware, and when asked about Obamacare, could barely speak about anything he knew about it. Frankly, he didn’t seem to care.

Apathy. The Killer of Minds.

What my friend found out in a short conversation was that these people, who worked in a gun shop, had no clue about he issues of the Constitution and 2nd Amendment–basically, it was evident that these folks did not watch the news. Not even CNN, much less FOX, or even take the time to look at news articles on the internet.

Perhaps we have become an iPod generation. A nation of Apathetic boobs who know more about “American Idol” than they do about the gradual and progressive loss of their own nation.

The greatest speaker of the Grecian Empire, Demosthenes, spoke of his disgust in the apathy of a once great nation in “The Second Oration against Philip” (344 BC):

They who aspire to an extravagant degree of power are to be opposed by force and action, not by speeches; and yet in the first place, we public speakers are unwilling to recommend or to propose anything to this purpose, from the fear of your displeasure; but confine ourselves to general representations of the grievous, of the outrageous nature of his conduct, and the like. Then you who attend are better qualified than Philip, either to plead the justice of your cause or to apprehend it when enforced by others; but as to any effectual opposition to his present designs, in this you are entirely inactive. You see, then, the consequence, the necessary, the natural consequence, each of you excels in that which has engaged your time and application, he in acting, you in speaking.

Nations die from a dry-rot known as apathy, and the cure is active participation and accumulated knowledge. Do not catch the disease, and if you know someone who has it, tell them.

United we stand

The year was 1768, and it was the Boston Gazette that published “The Liberty Song” by John Dickinson. One line of the song would inspire a notion among people that lives to this day:

“Then join hand in hand, brave Americans all! By uniting we stand, by dividing we fall!”

The quote, “United we stand, Divided we fall” emerged from that point, and was spoken by George Washington in relation to the Constitution as well.

This phrase is more than just a simple Patriot statement, it has deeper meaning. It means to put aside minor differences for the greater cause. Sure, in situations in life, you will not agree with everyone ALL the time, but it is a coalition of similar beliefs that help define a movement. Ronald Reagan had a great “Rule” about Party affiliation (and it is a good rule for any group) called the “80% rule”. President Reagan felt it was better to consider someone a “80% friend” than a “20% enemy”.

The Tea Party began from humble beginnings in that it was a spontaneous emergence of people who have similar feelings about Freedom, the Constitution, the rights of the individual, ect. But what few note is that there was never a litmus test of religion, sexual orientation, age, or color related to the Tea Party. Basically, they agree 80% of the time on the base issues we feel we stand for.

The Tea party is a loose collective of Patriots. Can a Republican be a Tea party member? Why not? Can a Democrat? I don’t see why they shouldn’t. It is their core beliefs that need to be considered, and little more.

Size of group is something that is constantly an attempt at ridicule by the vast Left-wing media in relation to the Tea Parties. Is a group of 50 enough to qualify? Or does it need to be something like Dallas, Texas with 100,000 attending? The answer is both, and all. The Tea party is about individuals collectively expressing their concern over our nation’s course. So in actuality, you could hold a “Tea Party” of 2 in a tiny town and still be valid. And you might even be one person who puts a video on Youtube and inspires a nation to react–you might still consider yourself part of the “Tea Party”.

The issue is that we need to stay united. We can win back our country if we work hard to make those changes happen. We can, as a group from shore to shore, break those bonds that Govt wishes to put on us.

Consider our might as an expression of our hearts and minds, a giant colossus built of our own will, so mighty as to cause fear in the bureacrat and Leftist. But chip away at that great statue over trivial points on contention outside of our main focus, and soon cracks begin to form. Those cracks can become arguments which become feuds and all out claims on the title of “Tea Party”. The face of the statue begins to break away, exposing a creaking armature of steel.

Eventually the mighty red, white, and blue colossus we all build comes crumbling down. It is a fear that this could happen, and only we can keep it from happening.

Join hands Patriots, and shout from the highest mountain our unity. We will not bend or fail, nor will we be changed by our efforts.

Why the “Coffee Party” needs to drink more Coffee

March 16, 2010 1 comment

Youtube clip: This is from the LA Coffee Party, apparently showcasing some of the most out of touch and apparently quaalude-taking members of the Left. Sure, it is nice to finally not see a bunch of screaming members of Code Pink shout their hatred for America, but this bunch is truly boring.

Again, it is interesting to note the constant talk of “Change” and “Progress” (yes, in reference to Progressivism) that these people spew. But I also think that their bizarre belief that “any change is good” is foolish. Was the “Change” in Germany that promoted Adolph Hitler to power “good change”? Or for that matter, the rise of Communism?

What the Coffee Party is is the less vocal Liberals trying to seem compelling in their promotion of Obamaism. They like to talk about “free healthcare” when anyone knows that nothing is free. One woman states in the above video that she is single and would like to “date” her Government. This is what happens when a person believes so strongly in Government as “Mama and Papa” that they are willing to trade their very lives, souls, and every freedom for the nanny State.

The individual thinking man and woman should be alarmed at the passive acceptance of these people toward a fate of progressive slavery. It would seem that their motto should be “Suicide is painless” or “Just go along with the flow”. And I guess if you take enough “ludes” you might say the same thing.

Are they actually drinking the Coffee, or the Kool-Aid?

I for one disdain the non-thinker who is willing to trade their existance for the cause of entitlement. To believe in serfdom over individualism is loathsome. It is as I have said many times before, apathy is the killer of nations. Simply “Let it happen” is their motto.

Change is not a word meaning Marxism, although these people think it is. They think it is great to talk about how great the French have it, but discount that nations innate problems. Once a great power in the world, France is now a paper Tiger that purrs rather than roars. The recent mass demonstrations by Muslims burning cars and attacking citizens is sign enough of that grim fact.

One can also see the glory of Marxism in Greece, where most of the Government workers have walked off the job and joined the screaming throngs for the fear that their Govt will be forced to cut their monstrous benefits. Can we be far away from this sort of behavior? After all, Government is becoming the nation’s biggest employer.

Dictatorship by any other name

March 16, 2010 1 comment

Youtube clip: Rush Limbaugh does a great job defining the dangers to Democracy of “deem and pass”; Perhaps President Obama will next deem himself “President for Life”? It sounds extreme, I admit, but when dealing with extremists not entirely unbelievable.

The Democrats just can’t get the votes they need. Consistant opposition to the Leviathan known simply as “Obamacare” has not waned, but rather increased as time goes on. Said opposition has taken the form of losses to the Democrats in multiple elections, with the last one being in uber-Leftist Massachusetts.

Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid then decided to do something that has never been done in passing a significant piece of legislation that was not a budget bill, they said they would use the “nuclear option” known as “reconciliation”.

Reconciliation, however, requires that the House of Representatives accept the Senate Bill as whole cloth. This does not sit well with a group of anti-abortion Democrats led by Bart Stupack. Even now they say they are in opposition to the bill in it’s current form.

The Democrat leadership cannot get the votes they need, so what do they do? Enter the “Slaughter rule” a seldom if ever used method by which the leadership of the house simply “deems” the bill as passed in the house.

Since the “Slaughter rule” includes the name “slaughter” and indeed does slaughter any credibility that our Govt has left, you will hear the term “deem and pass”. But take note, “deem and pass” is a way of saying that Democracy is not needed. It seems that our representative form of Government is just too hard for the Democrats to stomach.

This is why dictatorship seems so compelling to the Left. It sweeps away all the opposition of the “little people” who are too stupid to understand the glory and greatness of Socialism.

“deem and pass” is just another way to say “dictate and rule”.

America has been taken over by an arrogant lot who has little love for our system of representation, and we have gone from “taxation by misrepresentation” to true “taxation without representation”, and this brings up to the true base of why the Boston Tea Party happened.

We have a choice, and it is a grim one. We must take on and remove our very government in one fell swoop on election day. Then we must transform it back to one of respect to our basis of law.

We the people must not resume apathy, we must stand and fight.
